Private Dog Retreat & Pool in Eumundi
(private lease) - currently only open on 'dry' days (no rain and dry grounds) due to grass still having to grow back in places to avoid further red mud staining.

We have different session options available:
- Standard Session (90min)
- Double Session (180min)
- Hydro Session (45min)

This facility is for private use only, i.e. people and their private pets.
This facility is NOT for use by other businesses for their business, such as, but not limited to, dog walkers, dog daycare, dog trainers and dog photographers.

There is a limit of max 8 dogs per session and max 2 people per dog ratio.

STRICTLY NO CHILDREN (18+ only)

• This is a strictly child-free property

• Entry may be denied if proof of age cannot be presented

STRICTLY NO AGGRESSIVE DOGS

If your dog has ever bitten someone or could potentially injure someone, this is NOT the place for you. Apart from me and my dogs living here, you may encounter another customer with their dog(s) on the way to/ from the car park.

Unfortunately, this is too much of a liability for my business and my family. 

RULES:

• Dogs to be kept on lead unless in the fenced dog park.

• Do not bring your dog, when your dog is sick.

• Ensure your dog is well and / or vaccinated for not to impact on any other dogs visiting.

• Make sure you brush/ deshed your dog prior to your visit to reduce contamination of the pool. THANK YOU.

• Dog mats provided. Sadly, no more dogs on furniture please.
   

• NO glass outside the poolhouse (in or around pool). If you smash glass in or around the pool, you will be responsible for the clean up cost (draining pool, cleaning and refilling) which is approx $5,000.

• No street clothes (jeans, leggings, T-Shirt, dresses etc) to be worn in pool for swimming ONLY SWIMWEAR.

• Bring your own towels.

• Please dry off before entering the pool house (as puddles in the pool house make the floor slippery)

• Please dry off before sitting on the furniture or put a towel down first. The next customermight want to sit as well and not find the sofa soaked. 

• Out of consideration for the neighbours, please keep the noise / barking to a minimum. (I know dogs bark, but continuous yapping will get me in trouble. So we try and keep it down where we can)

• ​Use of the private dog park is at your OWN RISK.

  • (Be aware of potential wildlife such as ticks, snakes and toads)

• Any issues whatsoever, please notify me as soon as possible!!!

Most importantly:

• Leave the place as you find it! Clean up after yourself and your dog(s). Please treat my property with respect.

• If your dog has an accident in the pool, clean up what you can, and please let me know so I can address this straight away.

• Before you leave: Use the pool net on the side of the pool house to skim the pool and remove your dogs hair from the pool as best as you can . The next customer would like to also enjoy a clean pool.

CHANGES from 1st OCT 2025

With a heavy heart and after long and careful consideration, we have made the difficult descision that from Oct 1st, 2025, we will no longer be able to facilitate double-coated breeds (breeds with an undercoat, i.e. Huskies, Maremma, Golden Retrievers, Sammoyeds, Collies etc or a mix thereof.)

We hope that this will change again in the future, however, right now, it is sadly not managable whilst maintaining the same standard for all customers.

Accessibility

This property is NOT wheelchair accessible or suitable for individuals with mobility impairments, as it presents physical barriers to accessibility. Examples of such barriers include access to the dog park via a paddock uphill, the property is sloped in general and access to the bathroom facilities.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

- Cancellations by guests have to be made 24 hours prior to your booked session for a full refund.

- Cancellation 12- 24hrs prior to booking will incur a fee of 10% (of the booking fee)

- Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the booked session will incur a fee of 50% (of the booking fee).

- Reschedule requests by guests have to be made 24 hours prior to your booking.
- No-shows will result in a loss of payment/ booking fee.

- Cancellations by us due to false information during booking (e.g. if you book for a double coated dog and tick the box that your dog is NOT double coated) will incur a $10 processing fee.
  (It is your responsibility to provide correct informaton and to know if your dog is a double-coated breed) 

- Short notice cancellations (full refund) or reschedule by Houndstead due to bad weather events accpeted by both parties.
